Apparently Frank Turner spends alot of time recording random cover songs while in the studio or playing live.  I think it's safe to say that the world is a better place as a result...

But how can I talk about Frank Turner without posting at least one of his original songs...this is one of the best videos I have ever seen, for one of the best songs by one of the best artists out there.  Yeah, I kind of dig Mr. Turner...

Yeah, so it's not really music related but its freakin hysterical.  Dude in the 3rd video is killing on guitar, and really dedicated an unreasonable amount of time to his song.  We salute you sir.

Pete's Music Thing of the Week 6-29-11

The newly remastered Crass catalog, dubbed the "Crassical Collection" has caused me to revisit some of my favorite records of all time.  The remastering on these releases is unbelievable.  It sounds like The Feeding of the 5000 was recorded last week, as opposed to several decades ago.  I thought myself to be somewhat of a Crass expert, having been a fan for so many years and gobbling up anything I could about the band (and even getting the Crass logo as my 1st tattoo on my 18th birthday)  but I came accross this documentary called "There is No Authority But Yourself" which is the definitive source of information about the band, because it is told by Steve and Penny themselves.  Quite possibly the best music documentary I have evr seen.

Music Thing of the Week!

I have so many things that I want to write about but lack the focus and structure to properly review the records that I want to.  So now that we are halfway through the year and I haven't posted anything I will start posting at least one thing a week.  It could be a review, it could be an awesome release date, concert footage, or anything music related.  Get Ready!

*Update* 7-1-11 - So my blogspot sight went down again.  Nevermind about the weekly updates.

*MUCH MORE ROCKING UPDATE* 9-20-11 - It appears that all bugs have been repaired and the site is back up and running.  I'm not going to go through and fix my previous posts, but I will try and repost as many of my "Music Things of the Week" that are saved in the drafts folder of my blog account.
